I love this place! It is always a must try when I visit my brother in Henderson. Their steak chilaquiles are my favorite.

Amazing! Environment is super friendly. Got to meet "Mom" she was super friendly and gave everyone at my table a hug and a kiss on the cheek. The food was some of the best food I've ever had. The proportions are awesome and super filling. If you're in the area I would definitely consider paying a visit.

Everything was fresh, flavorful and played well! Super friendly staff! Plan on a longer breakfast. It's not a place to get in and out quickly, but when you realize the care they put in every dish, you don't care. Well worth it!

Came on a Saturday close to one and waited for 10 minutes before we got seated. Make sure to check in on the app to receive free biscuits and gravy! Starters the coffee was so good and biscuits and gravy! I got the avocado toast it was good. I've had better avocado toast. Previous reviews did say, a lot of people said, it was alright. But I wanted to give it a try. My friend ordered the French toast with a combo of eggs, hash brown, and ham. Said it also good. My husband did order the burger, although make sure it is cooked. Sadly, we did ask the waiter to take it back to re-cook the fries. I would like to come back there to try their lunch menu and breakfast again. Giving this place four stars the french fries were not cooked throughly.

Small-town feel, huge portions. Mom's Kitchen is a little Henderson restaurant which I finally made the time to check out today for breakfast. Occupying a decent-sized space on the SW corner of Horizon and College, it's bright and welcoming. So is the lady working the front of the house; she greeted everyone warmly, invited folks to sit where we'd like, and managed to take care of all the tables. I couldn't bring myself to try any of the exorbitantly pricy juices despite evidence that at least the OJ was freshly made in a juice, but I did grab a Coffee ($3.00). It was served hot and wasn't too bitter or acidic; I took it without creamer or sugar, so I didn't mind that it wasn't too aggressive. They brought out free chips and bean dip, plus a couple of salsas that seemed at least medium in spiciness. The chips seemed to be freshly cooked in house, or at least warmed up after being fried elsewhere. Checking in on Yelp, I noticed a check-in offer for free Biscuits and Gravy (normally $6.50 for the half-size order), so I took advantage of it and got a very hearty appetizer. The two biscuits were soft and similar in size to what you'd find at the McDonald's across the corner, but it was absolutely smothered in a rich white sausage gravy. This could serve as a light-medium breakfast if you're not too hungry. For my entree, I ordered the Country Fried Steak ($16.50) with my choices of sourdough toast, home potatoes, and two sunny side up eggs. The steak was crispy-battered and fork-tender, and it was topped with that same sausage gravy. The toast was just one slice, but it was crispy and you can get butter or jam if you'd like. The home potatoes, cooked with peppers and a bit of cheese, were noticeably underseasoned since everything else was balanced or light, meaning that there isn't anything to balance out the blandness. The eggs were cooked just fine, with one egg getting a harder fry on the white than the other. Mom's Kitchen is a good neighborhood restaurant. I don't see much to distinguish them from other breakfast/lunch spots aside from maybe a bit more Mexican influence on parts of the menu, but because they're the closest spot to home for me, I'm happy to have them as an option for when I want a hearty meal that's not from a chain.

Oh heck yeah, Yelp! You made my day recommending this place to me. I actually have breakfast a lot in the area, in a place that's kitty corner to this one. Don't get me wrong, I love that place, especially for their specialty coffees and baked French toast, but sometimes you want eggs. Sometimes you want chilaquiles and steak AND eggs. This first time coming in was one of those days and now that I know this place is here, it's getting added to the breakfast rotation for sure. We came in on a Saturday morning, around 1030AM. There were a few groups waiting ahead of us. When the person at the door took our names, he estimated about a 10-15 min wait. Not a problem at all. However, we waited less than 10 min! We sat in the back, next to the windows at a nice big table and very comfortable chair and banquette seat. The place is a bit sparsely decorated but they use the space well and it looks very, very clean. I actually like a bit of white walls and ceiling. Can't hide the dirt/dust from me then. Our server was just a great ball of energy. She was a bit swamped so she missed some stuff, like refills for our coffee, but there are quite a few people who check up on you, so it wasn't really an issue. The food is incredible. I loved the beans on the gratis plate of chips we got. The salsas are really good as well. I got green chilaquiles with an over easy egg and added steak. OMG! That steak was so freaking good. I have never has such good steak as a side like that before. I ate ALL of it. My husbands BYO burrito was really tasty as well.

Stopped by Mom's Kitchen for a quick bite and had to try their fresh-squeezed OJ. I've been meaning to check this place out since it's right around the corner from home. The space is great with a massive L-shaped bar that's super inviting. I was stuck deciding between the pork chile verde or the chorizo breakfast plate, but Ms. Wendy insisted the chorizo was top-notch--and she wasn't wrong! Pork chile verde will have to wait until next time. When the rest of my food arrived, I was blown away by the portion size--this was a heefffftyyy meal. And let's not forget about these beans... Wow. So flavorful! I could already tell they'd make an amazing bean and cheese burrito (definitely coming back for that review). The fresh-squeezed OJ, served in a 24oz cup, is perfect for pouring over ice--a refreshing treat, especially with summer still hanging on in October. Ms. Wendy and Lupita were running the show, and I don't know how they managed it, but they were attentive to every single table and seat at the bar, all while answering the phone like pros. Now, about the free chips and beans--those beans are pure heaven. They're made with chorizo and bacon, giving them a rich, delicious flavor. And it gets better: they've got house-made salsa too. I got to try the fresh batches of both green and red salsa--both fantastic. There are two types of beans, but they wouldn't reveal which was which, probs keeping a top secret recipe. Checked in and scored a free dish of biscuits and gravy--yet another standout dish. This place is such a cozy gem for breakfast, and I can't wait to come back and explore their lunch menu. Thank you, Mom's Kitchen, for the warm atmosphere and great food. See you soon!!

This might be one of my all time breakfast places! Everything on the menu is made fresh and so flavorful. I can't get enough of the country fried steak and eggs smothered in sausage gravy. All their smoothies are a must try and made fresh!

We came by here on our way to Hoover Dam and everybody was super glad we did. I checked in and got a FREE biscuits and gravy. If I had received that before we ordered our meal they would have only sold three more biscuits and gravy. It was SO GOOD! Very unusual in that it has more like a hamburger meat, although I'm sure it has some sausage or pork in there. Again, it was so good. My daughter ordered the BLT and was so happy. She had actually ordered a salad but they were out of Romaine so she just threw something safe out there and it turned out to be such a good call. All she kept saying was how thick the bacon was. I ordered the birria plate and it was OK. Not bad but not really good either. It was a lot more like chili colorado. Don't get me wrong, I love birria and grew up eating it often so I expected a little more of the consume flavor but again not bad. I would not order it again, I would try something else. LIKE the biscuits and gravy. I will tell you what is good, their beans. And rice too. I would love to return to Mom's Kitchen. The place is very clean and big clean restrooms too for weary tourists. The service was excellent and friendly. We got there around 2:15 and at 3 PM when they were closing, they were working around us without making us feel pressured to leave.

This place was an INCREDIBLE brunch! Not only was the food delicious but I felt so taken care of by the staff there. It's small, but enough space to walk in and home-y. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito which was huge and super delicious. My mom got their French toast and loved it. The star for me was the pineapple mint (?) agua fresca - I'm still obsessed with it and I want to fly back to Vegas soon just to get this drink I also loved that they started breakfast with chips and bean dip, it was super flavorful and delicious.
